I contacted 6 painting companies based on great Google reviews and ended up getting three quotes in the timeframe I... needed. When I called MV Painting, Victor answered promptly and sent me a link to book a quote right away, which was only a couple of days later. Ronald called the morning of the quote and asked if he could come in earlier, which worked out really well. Ronald was very personable and seemed to know what he was talking about. He took pictures and did measurements and patiently answered all my questions. He quoted for exterior fascia and the garage door to be painted, and for the interior painting of trim, doors and walls post window/door replacements, along with a few other items. I had two more quotes ahead, but he was able to send me their full quote within several hours, which really helped when I received the other quotes. Ronald also mentioned that if we approved the exterior part of the quote, they may be able to start over the weekend, but that it would be their last weekend/week to do exterior painting before the snow/cold. The second quote I received for the exterior was double what MV Painting quoted, and the second company wouldn't have been able to do exterior painting until the spring, so we went ahead and booked the exterior painting with MV Painting while waiting for the final quotes to come in for the interior work.The painting crew was on time every morning and were quietly hard working, but also very friendly. Ronald came in every day to check on progress, deliver any supplies, answer questions and give a status update. He was great to work with.When I received the final quotes, I let Ronald know that the closest competitor quoted a lower price and Ronald was able to give me a discount, also based on us already being a client with the exterior work. The discount didn't get quite as low as the other quote, but we were happy with the work and workmanship they'd already shown us, so we approved the interior painting as well, and they were able to start the next day. The crew took the time to cover our furniture and plants that could get dusty and paint splattered, which was very much appreciated. They were very meticulous with their taping, patching, painting, and cleaning. By the end of the job, they even hand mopped the floor of dust, which was surprising, but also appreciated. Ronald was very scrupulous with their work and made sure everything was done to a high standard. The inside of the garage door was wood and they applied two coats of primer then four coats of paint, and even though Ronald said some wood was still showing through, I told him it was enough. They were very thorough and our home feels and looks great!We had the wonderful crew of Francisco, Carmen and Fabian and it was a pleasure working with them, as well as Ronald and Victor. We are very happy we chose MV Painting and would highly recommend them.read more

My experience working with Victor and MV Painting team was incredible. We hired Victor 4 years ago to do our floors in... our two bedroom apartment and he did such a great job! Victor had recently placed a pamphlet in our door while on a job in the area and I kept it knowing we were looking to... do some interior painting in the near future. I received a good quote from Victor but what also struck me was that our dog seemed to like him and I believe dogs can be a good judge of character. During the week MV Painting was scheduled to come, they asked if they could come a day early which worked very well for us. We lived out in High River, and considered the distance to travel, MV painting gave us a very competitive quote and... stuck to it. They performed a very professional job, leaving our place in a very clean state when the job was finished.We ended up selling in High River and repurchased property in Calgary that had been subject to cigarette smoke and nicotine buildup over decades. We contacted MVPainters with an urgent request for ceiling painting 4 days before our home went on the market, to fix a... last minute issue that arose from our Christmas tree scraping the ceiling. They came out the same day to review the work and rearranged their schedule to bring a team the very next day! Covered floors and all furnishings completely, prepping very carefully. And the work was completed perfectly, and clean up left no evidence they’d even been there!! Plus the paint they used was so low odour, at first we weren’t sure they’d even done the work- then we noted all the damage was gone and the ceilings just looked perfectly smooth and white. Victor and his crew were fundamental to get my house ready for my family. I had spent/wasted a week trying to remove an... outdated wallpaper in my living room and looked for contractors that were able to remove it and leave the wall smooth and ready to be painted. Many providers declined and others proposed to work under many conditions and restrictions, basically leaving all the risk of ruining the wall on me. Victor was prompt to respond and provide estimates, accepted the work and assumed all eventual risks, including sanding, patching or redoing drywall, which brought piece of mind for us. They removed the wallpaper in less than an hour and left the wall perfectly smooth and painted with mastery. They also painted all common areas, including walls, doors and trim. Beautiful work with premium quality paint, washable and perfect for my family with very active toddlers and dogs. My newly installed hardwood floor was kept clean; their attention to detail is impressive.read more
