Kitchen Cabinets Refinished — Maple Ridge, Calgary

Cabinet refinishing in Maple Ridge, Calgary: 17 cabinet openings whose dark espresso finish had worn through to bare wood, restored in the same colour — not replaced, and not changed.

The starting point

Daily use had rubbed the espresso finish off the most-handled doors and drawers, right down to bare wood in places. The cabinets themselves were sound, so the original colour was matched and the finish rebuilt instead of changing the look of the kitchen.

Spray work

Frames, doors and drawers were degreased and sanded, and the cabinet boxes and the whole kitchen — floors, counters and appliances — were masked and protected. Doors and drawers were sprayed in our shop with two coats of primer and a solvent-based pre-catalyzed lacquer in the matched espresso colour; the frames were sprayed on site, and everything was cleaned up at the end.

Result

The kitchen keeps its original espresso character, with an even, hard-wearing finish across all 17 openings — backed by our 2-year workmanship warranty. See it in the video above.
